Thread Rollong is performed by cold forming free from cutting chip, That is, threads are made without cutting the texture. The thread surface is burinshed, not roughened, allowing high-accuracy finish. A thread rolling head is widely used for producing V-threads, Acme threads, trapezoidal (TR) threads, buttress threads, tapered threads and special-profile threads.
